Welcome

Tewkesbury AC was founded initially in 1983 and then officially affiliated to the Midland Counties in 1984, we changed our name to Tewkesbury Running Club in 2015 to better reflect what we actually do... running.

We have over 100 members of all ages, abilities and running styles. You don't need to live in Tewkesbury to join the club - many members travel from as far as Ledbury, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Pershore and numerous small villages nearby.

Centred around social enjoyment and keeping fit, many of us enjoy a bit of healthy competition and some still yearn to nail that seemingly elusive Parkrun PB.

We regularly enter teams into local and regional events of varying distances (the Gloucestershire county championships & the Cotswold Way Relay) and there are often members at races further afield in the UK and beyond. We dabble in the odd Triathlon, Duathlon, Ultra and a few muddy challenges.

Mayhill Massacre 2026

Thanks to a wet and soggy January, this year’s Mayhill Massacre on 1 st February had the benefit of gruellingly tough conditions underfoot! The rain had stopped ready for the 10am start (restarting 3hrs later) and the daunting ascent of the famous Mayhill at just under 1,000 feet – or higher if you include the fascinating “crown of Mayhill” with the ~100 Scots pines.
