We have many good athletes at the club and a few that have competed at the highest level.

This is a record of those that have been selected and competed for their country.

 
Sue Bruce

Selected to run for Great Britain on 2 occasions at 100km

  • 2005   IAU European 100km Championships Winschoten, Holland – 4th Woman in 7hrs 56mins 14secs (placing her 39th on the all-time World rankings at 100km)

  • 2006 World 100km Championships, Korea – DNF

 

Selected to run for England at 100km

  • 2005   Anglo Celtic 100km Plate, Ireland – 1st Woman and UK 100km National Champion and Gold Medal Winning Team in 8hrs 14mins 14secs

 

Angie Sadler

Selected to run for England on 6 occasions at distances of 50km, 100km and 24hours (all when in her late 40s/early 50s)

  • 2007   50km International Road Race, Winschoten, Holland in 3hrs 49mins 59secs

  • 2009   Anglo Celtic 100km Plate, Ireland – 3rd Woman and Gold Medal Winning Team in 8hrs 25mins 47secs (placing her 93rd on the all-time World rankings at 100km)

  • 2009   Commonwealth Championships 100km Road Race – Gold Medal Winning Team and 4th Woman overall in 8hrs 32mins 56secs

  • 2010   Perth Ultrafest International 24-hour Road Race, Perth, Scotland – 1st Woman and 4th overall with 205.984 kms (128.74mls), one of only two GBR women to achieve the World Championship qualifying distance that year and which made her the GBR number one in 2010 for 24-hours at the time

  • 2011  Anglo Celtic 100 Km Plate, Perth, Scotland, 6th Woman in 8hrs 44mins 04secs.
