Stroud, Winchcombe & Hereford
The inaugural Winchcombe Cross Marathon had just 15 runners cross the finish line and it was an event too local and too attractive for Angie Sadler to not participate in. Angie enjoyed the 5:04 hr run and described it as a “really amazing event”. It was organised by Cotswoldrunning.co.uk so we will be surprised if anything but amazing. Angie came 5th overall.
Angie Sadler finished 21st from 89 and 3rd place woman in the Stroud Trail Marathon. Her 4:37 hrs gave her 1st in her LV55 category.
In the shorter Stroud Trail Half Marathon, Mark Gardiner finished 6th from 181 runners in 1:45 hr. That gave him 2nd V40.
However, Nigel Tillott took the competitive V50 title with 1:57 hr. Nigel finished 11th overall.
The April Hereford 5km featured some faces old and new. Andy Hawkins returned to a course that he’s familiar with having many years ago raced the 5km distance there. Likewise, Jon Mansfield clocked a PB on the said course over 10 years ago. New club members James Head, Tracy Tailford and Vicky Earls completed a colourful team of five.

Barry O'Driscoll raced his 7th Marathon in his challenging series; The Shakespeare Marathon is quite favorite for Tewkesbury runners, not the easiest of courses with a punishing decent at 18 miles - more so that it's just 45 minutes up the road and the parking is simple. Barry completed the Stratford-upon-Avon test in 4:26 hr - a creditable time.
